Earth Day Series | Beautiful, Historic Špania Dolina

A beautiful view of Špania Dolina, Slovakia. This 13th Century church sits gently above a 160 step climb overlooking the valley. Špania Dolina is a historic mining town known for eyelet lace and woven riečička coarse thread. If you're fortunate, you may find village women who will demonstrate this regional craft. For more on Špania Dolina, see Milan Hlôška's story here.
